
This direct vision dispersing prism consists of three
optically contacted parts. The outer prism parts are fused silica Suprasil,
whereas the material in the inner prism is a flint glass with high UV transmission.
The internal transmittance is 80% for a 20 mm glass path at the wavelength
365 nm. Thus in lower light power situations the prism can be used up to
the near UV region (above about 350 nm).
The direct vision is at the wavelength λ
= 436 nm, the angular dispersion αF
αC is 4.9°.
