Graduated rotating mounts are used for the support and orientation of Soleil-Babinet Compensators, polarizing prisms and retarders. The divided circles are lockable into position. The aperture has a 25 mm diameter (except for model MTK 025) and is provided with a lamp to hold the optical components in position. The circles are supplied with a mounting post 14 mm in diameter.
The outer diameter is 135 mm. The inner part
for the optics can quickly be rotated to the desired position and then
fine adjusted with a precision screw. The adjusted position can be read
to an accuracy of 3' at two opposite verniers. With the help of three adjusting
screws the rotation axis of the circle can be adjusted to the optical axis
of the surrounding optical setup. → MTK 113
The adjustment screw can be replaced by a micrometer
screw to facilitate a quantifiable amount of rotation. A movement of 0.01
mm results in a rotation of 27.5" (27.5 arcseconds) resp. a rotation of
0.1° can be achieved by a screw displacement of 0.13 mm. → MTK 75.113
The dividing interval is 2°. The adjustment can be read to an accuracy of about 0.5° on a marking. → MTK 040

This simple rotating mount can be used in mounting
plates with 25 mm bore. It holds and rotates parts with 16 mm outer diameter;
its maximum diameter is 30 mm, length is 22 mm. Rotation can be blocked
by means of a headless screw.
